Luscious' Poems
Dying Inside
It hurts me
As it does you
Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
To see the sadness
In your swollen eyes
Your eyes have no spark
You'd rather talk in the dark
Protected by your walls
You really don't want to talk at all
You try to find comfort
As, You know, life's too short
To embellish your broken spirit
You clench your fists tight
Trying to lose sight of reality
You focus on a lost fantasy
Your mouth, tense
Trying to make sense
The loss of dignity
You just want to be free
Building anger
Confusion conquers
Questions piled
While, during this, I've been here all the while
I sit in silence
Seeing all of your stress
I reach out my hand
I really do understand
The truth pains you
This makes you blue
Your questions, I hear
Unable to answer, My face shows a tear
You're tired now
You've let everything out
You move closer to me
And you say "Hug thee"
I hold you tight
Saying "Everything's all right"
On my lap, You fall asleep
Your breathing slows, You're in deep
Goodnight, my friend
This day has finally ended
Till the morning light
I bid you a good night
